Interactive GIS (Geographic Information System) Mapping
Sector Mobile has partnered with the Florida FWC - Fish and Wildlife Research Institute - Center for Spatial Analysis to produce a Geographic Information System for the Sector Area Contingency Plan. The interactive map browsing is produced using ESRI® ArcGIS Server technology. The DVD version of this plan contains both ArcGIS 9.2 and ArcReader 9.2 GIS projects to provide access to the data and imagery produced for this valuable planning and response tool. The projects contain data on shoreline sensitivity to spilled oil, locations particularly sensitive to spilled oil, marinas, boat ramps, staging areas, ports, bathymetry (water depth), saltmarsh areas, roads, population density, administrative boundaries, and other themes, including aerial photography. A list of all of the GIS data on the DVD has been provided on the disk. Show me the list of GIS data on the DVD Google Earth Files Google Earth KML (Keyhole Markup Language) files have been produced of many of the key data layers for the Area Contingency Plan, so users who have Google Earth may view them in that manner.
