Coral Reef Evaluation and Monitoring Project (CREMP) ArcView Project

In addition to the tools added to the basic Water Quality Protection Program ArcView project, additional tools have been created for the Coral Reef Evaluation and Monitoring Project ArcView project. These tools allow users to explore data analyzed by the Coral Reef Evaluation and Monitoring Project, as well as quickly navigating through the major regions of the Keys (Upper, Middle, Lower, and Dry Tortugas) and the CREMP's monitoring stations. These tools are described below.

The Coral Reef Evaluation and Monitoring Project ArcView project can be obtained by requesting a copy of the Water Quality Protection Program CD-ROM or downloading it using the following links:

1. Coral Analysis
Each CREMP site consists of 4 sampling stations. The coordinates of the stations are not their true locations, but a convenient representation near the location of the site. This allows the user to view multiple results at the same time. The true locations of stations are recorded in the metadata. The diagram to the left shows how the graphics are viewed.

2. Region Menus
Two menus have been added to the customized, Water Quality Protection Program ArcView project that will allow quick viewing of region-wide and individual CREMP monitoring sites.

2. Coral Reef Evaluation and Monitoring Project Query Tool
Data collected by the Coral Reef Evaluation and Monitoring Project can be queried by using the Coral Reef Evaluation and Monitoring Project Query Tool. Queries can be made by station/site, station species inventory, stony coral cover, stony coral cover change and geographic location. The results from any query can be saved for further analysis.
