- Archery Season
September 24-26, October 1-3 (still hunt and archery-only areas only) October 8-10, 15-17, November 25 - January 19 (only in the archery-only areas) Permit, Stamp and License Requirements - Daily quota permit (if hunting in the archery-only areas), hunting license, management area permit, archery permit, deer permit (if hunting deer), wild turkey permit (if hunting wild turkey), migratory bird permit (if hunting migratory birds), and state waterfowl permit and federal duck stamp (if hunting waterfowl). Legal to Hunt - Deer with at least 1 antler having 3 or more points (each point 1-inch or more in length) OR a main beam length of 10 inches or more, antlerless deer (which includes does and bucks with antlers less than 5 inches in length, but not spotted fawn), wild hog, turkey of either sex, gray squirrel, quail, rabbit, raccoon, opossum, armadillo, beaver, coyote, skunk, nutria, migratory birds in season, and non-protected birds. Bobcat and otter beginning December 1.
Regulations Unique to Archery Season -
1. Only archery equipment may be used for hunting. Hunting with crossbows is prohibited (except by disabled crossbow permit).
Regulations Unique to Archery-only Areas -
2. Hunters must check in at check station 1 upon entering and check out upon leaving the area, obtain a daily quota permit number and check all game harvested. These requirements may be completed by telephone (904-529-1045).
3. Hunters shall use the walk-through gate openings when entering the hunt area.
4. Archery-only areas will be closed on dates scheduled for military exercises.
- Muzzleloading Gun Season
October 8-10, 15-17 (still hunt areas only) Permit, Stamp and License Requirements - Quota permit, hunting license, management area permit, muzzleloading gun permit, deer permit (if hunting deer), wild turkey permit (if hunting wild turkey) and migratory bird permit (if hunting migratory birds). Legal to Hunt - Deer with at least 1 antler having 3 or more points (each point 1-inch or more in length) OR a main beam length of 10 inches or more, wild hog, turkey of either sex, gray squirrel, quail, rabbit, raccoon, opossum, armadillo, beaver, coyote, skunk, nutria, migratory birds in season, and non-protected birds. Regulations Unique to Muzzleloading Gun Season - Hunting with archery equipment or guns, other than muzzleloading guns, is prohibited.
- Family Hunt
October 12-13, 26-27 (dog hunt area only) Permit, Stamp and License Requirements - Quota hunt permit (no exemptions), hunting license, management area permit, deer permit (if hunting deer), migratory bird permit (if hunting migratory birds), and state waterfowl permit and federal duck stamp (if hunting waterfowl). Legal to Hunt - Any deer (except spotted fawn), wild hog, gray squirrel, quail, rabbit, raccoon, opossum, armadillo, beaver, coyote, skunk, nutria, migratory birds in season, and non-protected birds. Regulations Unique to Supervised Youth Hunts -
1. Up to 2 youths (under 16 years of age but not younger than 8 years of age) per quota permit may hunt under the direct supervision of an adult (at least 18 years of age), but the quota permit holder must be present for the youth to hunt. 2. Participants may scout the area from 8 a.m. until 6 p.m. 1 day prior to each hunt. 3. Adults with required licenses and permits may participate when in the presence of a youth, but may not harvest wildlife.
- General Gun Still Season
November 25-29 (except not including Thanksgiving Day), November 30 - December 4, December 5 - January 19 (except not including Christmas Day) (still hunt areas only) Permit, Stamp and License Requirements - Quota permit (if hunting before December 5th) or daily quota permit (if hunting after December 4th), hunting license, management area permit, deer permit (if hunting deer), wild turkey permit (if hunting wild turkey), migratory bird permit (if hunting migratory birds), and state waterfowl permit and federal duck stamp (if hunting waterfowl). Legal to Hunt - Deer with at least 1 antler having 3 or more points (each point 1-inch or more in length) OR a main beam length of 10 inches or more, antlerless deer by antlerless deer permit only (each antlerless deer permit allows the take of only 1 doe or 1 buck with antlers less than 5 inches in length, but not spotted fawn), wild hog, turkey of either sex (November 27-29, December 3-4 and December 5-6 only), gray squirrel, quail, rabbit, raccoon, opossum, armadillo, beaver, coyote, skunk, nutria, migratory birds in season, and non-protected birds. Bobcat and otter beginning December 1.
- General Gun Dog Season
November 25 - December 5 (except not including Thanksgiving Day), December 26 - January 5 (dog hunt area only) Permit, Stamp and License Requirements - Quota permit, WMA deer-dog hunting permit (if hunting deer with dogs), hunting license, management area permit, deer permit (if hunting deer), wild turkey permit (if hunting wild turkey), migratory bird permit (if hunting migratory birds), and state waterfowl permit and federal duck stamp (if hunting waterfowl). Legal to Hunt - Deer with at least 1 antler having 3 or more points (each point 1-inch or more in length) OR a main beam length of 10 inches or more, wild hog, turkey of either sex (December 3-5 and January 3-5 only), gray squirrel, quail, rabbit, raccoon, opossum, armadillo, beaver, coyote, skunk, nutria, migratory birds in season, and non-protected birds. Bobcat and otter beginning December 1. Regulations Unique to General Gun Dog Season - A valid WMA deer-dog hunting permit is required to hunt deer with the aid of dogs.
- Trapping
December 1 - January 5 (still hunt areas only) Permit, Stamp and License Requirements - Quota permit or daily quota permit (if trapping during any quota period), trapping license and management area permit. Legal to Trap - Raccoon, opossum, armadillo, beaver, coyote, skunk, nutria, otter and bobcat.
- Wild Hog-Dog Season
January 24-26, February 15-17 (dog hunt area only) Permit, Stamp and License Requirements - Management area permit. Legal to Hunt - Wild hog. Regulations Unique to Wild Hog-Dog Season -
1. The check station is open each day only from 12:00 a.m. until 6:00 a.m. and from 7:30 p.m. until 11:59 p.m. 2. Hunts will begin 1 1/2 hours after sunset the first day of the hunt and end 1 1/2 hours before sunrise the day following the last day of the hunt. Hunting is only allowed from 1 1/2 hours after sunset until 1 1/2 hours before sunrise. Hunting during the day (from 1 1/2 hours before sunrise until 1 1/2 hours after sunset) is prohibited.
3. Wild hog may only be taken during the night by the aid of a light with dogs and a firearm. Hunting wild hog by display or use of a light from a moving vehicle, vessel or animal is prohibited.
- Spring Turkey Season
Youth Turkey: March 8-9 Spring Turkey: March 15-21, March 29 - April 4 Call the Camp Blanding hotline (904-214-7533) for information on areas
open to hunting. Permit, Stamp and License Requirements - Quota permit, hunting license, management area permit and wild turkey permit. Legal to Hunt - Bearded turkey or gobbler.
Regulations Unique to Spring Turkey Season -
1. Youth spring turkey hunt participants may scout the area from 8 a.m. until 6 p.m. 1 day prior to the youth spring turkey hunt.
2. Hunters may not enter the area until 5 a.m. during hunts. Legal shooting hours begin at ½ hour before sunrise. All hunters must exit the area by 1 p.m. during hunts.
3. Only centerfire and muzzleloading shotguns using a #2 or smaller shot size may be used for hunting (including in the archery-only area).
4. During the youth turkey hunt, only youth under 16 years of age may hunt and must be under the supervision and in the presence of an adult not younger than 18 years of age. Adults with required licenses and permits may participate when in the presence of a youth, but may not harvest a wild turkey.
5. Hunting with dogs is prohibited.
6. Each hunter must select a zone upon entering the area. Selection and assignment of Zones 1 and 2 will be made at check station # 3, Zone 3 at check station # 1, and Zone 4 at check station # 2. Each guest hunter must hunt in the same zone as the host.
7. A hunter may only enter the zone to which he or she has been assigned.
8. Hunting other animals is prohibited.
- Migratory Bird Season
Migratory game birds and crows may be hunted during their respective statewide seasons that coincide with the seasons listed in this brochure. See migratory game bird hunting regulations.

Regulations Unique to Migratory Bird Seasons - All
Migratory Bird Regulations shall apply.
1. Hunting ducks, geese and coot with lead shot is prohibited.
2. Hunting with centerfire shotguns during the archery and muzzleloading gun seasons is prohibited.
3. Shooting hours for mourning and white-winged dove are 1/2 hour before sunrise until sunset.
- Fishing
Allowed only on Lowry and Magnolia Lakes.

Regulations Unique to Fishing - All General Freshwater Fishing Regulations and Fish Management Area regulations shall apply.
1. Open when allowed by Camp Blanding Range Control on Saturdays and Sundays from 6:30 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. each day and during periods open to hunting. Call 904-214-7533 for Camp Blanding lake information.
2. Access to Magnolia and Lowry Lakes for fishing shall be on Treat Road only, when allowed by Camp Blanding Range Control.
3. Frogging is prohibited.
4. Persons fishing shall fill out a daily use card and obtain a daily use pass and return it to check station 2 upon entering the area. 5. Fishing from the bank is prohibited.
