Service Description: This service was created to provide access to Geographic Response Plan (GRP) data to aid in oil spill planning and prevention. The GRP data was developed by the U.S. Coast Guard and their respective Area Committee detailing vital information in the case of an oil spill emergency. The GRP contains a great deal of local information that is a required section of the Area Contingency Plan as mandated by the Oil Pollution Act of 1990.
