Description:

Abstract:
This GIS data set represents federal, state, local and privately owned wildlife management areas in Florida. This data layer is a reselection from the "CONSLANDS" (a historical data set) statewide coverage. The conservation lands database was initially compiled land standardized from the existing digital GIS databases maintained by each Water Management District. The compiled database was subsequently enhanced at the Geoplan Center by the addition/standardization of attribute data (such as name, type, status, etc.). The Geoplan Center also corrected all boundary and location inaccuracies identified by reviewers. In addition, every effort was made to incorporate boundary changes precipitated by acquisitions and proposals which occurred as late as November 1994. The reselect occurred in 1997 at FMRI.
