Description: A total of 59 charter fishing operators provided information on their fishing activities off the coast of Southeast Florida, off the coast of Miami-Dade, Broward, Palm Beach and Martin counties. The fishers also provided socio-demographic, economic, and perceptions data. The SEFCRI charter fishing operations study was a component of the FDOU Combined Project 10. The charter fishing operations study followed the methodology developed for the commercial fishing study, in that it used a field-based approach to survey charter fishing operations, whose population was determined using a variety of sources.
