Description: Each point in this GIS data set represents a single deployment event (either a uniquely located artificial reef or deployments of the same reef on different days). Division of Marine Fisheries Management maintains and updates the source database. This data set represents deployments through December 31, 2012.
Name: Environmental Sensitivity Index (ESI) Shoreline
Display Field: MSTSENDES
Type: Feature Layer
Geometry Type: esriGeometryPolyline
Description: This GIS data set comprises an update to the shoreline habitat component of the Environmental Sensitivity Index (ESI) and Gulf-Wide Information System (G-WIS) databases for the coastal zone of Florida, including the lower St. Johns River. The ESI and G-WIS data suites characterize coastal habitats and resources for environmental planning and natural resource management purposes, including oil spill planning and response.

Description: This GIS data set represents the saltwater marsh areas in Florida. The data are a compilation of available land use and land cover information mapped by Florida's water management districts. The most recent data available as of July 2012 are used; the photography dates are between 1999 and 2010.
Description: This GIS data set represents oyster coverage for available study areas in the state of Florida. Not all areas have been mapped, but this dataset represents the oyster data available to FWRI as of November 2011. Source dates vary and many studies are much older than the compilation date. See the Source Information section for more details.
Description: This polygon GIS data set represents a compilation of statewide seagrass data from various source agencies and scales. The data were mapped from sources ranging in date from 1987 to 2010. Not all data in this compilation are mapped from photography; some are the results of field measurements. See the "Sources" section for more information.
Description: This GIS data set represents coral and other hard bottom type data available to FWRI as of February 2012. The extent and resolution of source data sets varies. This is not intended to be a comprehensive survey - data gaps do exist. Sliver polygons also exist due to differences in overlapping study areas, as well as some present in the source data sets.
Worm and oyster reefs are not included in this compilation. See separate data sets for worm and oyster reefs.
Description: This GIS data set represents mangroves in Florida. The data are reselected from land use and land cover data from Florida's water management districts.
Description: Tidal flats are non-vegetated areas of sand or mud protected from wave action and composed primarily of mud transported by tidal channels.
Description: These GIS data represent shallow banks within Florida Bay and the adjoining Florida Keys as depicted on NOAA Nautical Chart 11451. No NOAA bathymetric data are available for most of these polygons as the water was too shallow for traditional survey vessels.
