Service Description: This service was created to provide access to Geographic Response Strategies (GRS) data to aid in oil spill planning and prevention. The GRS data was developed by the U.S. Coast Guard and their respective Area Committee detailing vital information in the case of an oil spill emergency. The GRS contains a great deal of local information that is a required section of the Area Contingency Plan as mandated by the Oil Pollution Act of 1990.
